Pavlov VR reportedly played on Linux with Steam and Proton

Users have reported success with playing Pavlov on Ubuntu based operating systems using Steam's compatibility tools. User reports can be seen here:

After interviewing one such user, it was revealed that they followed this simple process to get Pavlov working.

(1) They enabled the Steam Beta Update. [Settings -> Account -> Beta Participation -> Steam Beta Update]

(2) They restarted Steam into the Steam Beta.

(3) They went into Steam Play options after the restart and checked the boxes for [X] Enable Steam Play for supported titles, and [X] Enable Steam Play for All titles.

(4) They went into Steam Play options and selected the [Proton X.X-X Beta].

(5) They restarted steam.

(6) They were then able to install Pavlov VR via the steam menus and enjoy the game.
